Built into XpertFire, our authoring tool empowers training officers to create and share custom VR scenarios, no coding required. Simply drag and drop fires, hazards, items, and patients into real environments, then save or share with your team.

2. Instructor Controls

The Instructor View gives training officers total control over sessions, before, during, and after. Start or stop simulations, monitor live streams, and trigger dynamic in-scenario events to test critical decision-making.

- Live trainee viewpoints and ghost-mode observation
- Control incident conditions (arrival time, resource limits, fire alarms)

3. Multi-User Collaboration
Train Together, Anywhere.
Up to eight trainees can currently train side by side in VR through a local connection, no internet required.
In 2026, we will expand to 21+ online users, enabling joint training between departments and agencies across regions.

4. Tools & Equipment System
Real Tools, Real Habits - Safely Reimagined for VR.
XpertFire’s equipment system is designed to train real-world awareness and decision-making without promoting unsafe or unrealistic habits. Every tool behaves as authentically as VR allows, with deliberate adjustments to ensure safety and skill retention.
Key Features:
- Toolbelt System: Carry the same essential tools you would on scene: flashlight, radio, SCBA, control module, and one interchangeable hand tool.
Realistic but Safe Interactions:- Fully interactive: Radios, TICs, flashlights, and ladders behave like their real counterparts.
- Safety-modified: Tools like axes, Halligan bars, and nozzles simulate action triggers without swing force or pressure, preventing muscle-memory errors while reinforcing correct use context.
- Built on Firefighter Feedback: Every adjustment was made based on feedback from real training officers to balance immersion, realism, and safe technique retention.

5. Locomotion & Controls

- Crawling Locomotion: Automatically activates when crouching or kneeling, use hand pulls to move naturally in smoke-filled environments.
- Standard Movement Options: Teleport or smooth walk, depending on comfort.
- Simplified Controls: Only three buttons:
- Grip (pick up, carry, operate tools)
- Joystick (movement)
- Trigger (special actions like radio use)
